Danica and Mouse have safely reached the EastMarch and are closer to recovering Asira, but their perils are far from done. Gaelin's Port is a city in transition and the poorer neighbourhoods are beleaguered by gangs and abductions.

Danica found the friends her mother's vision foretold, but they need help! Wil her old commander, was there and the new duke! Will this distract her and delay recovering Asira?

The city of Gaelin's Port proves to be the home Mouse never had. He finds friends, danger, and conspiracy and, despite Danica's wishes, inserts himself into the core of the action!

At Duke Wil's urging, Danica reluctantly takes up the mantle of command and sets out to save the city. Resources are few as are the number of troops available. Danica seeks and confronts the threat and finds a deeper darker much more dangerous enemy lurking in the shadows! One that threatens the entire city and its people!

Danica begged him not to get in trouble but Mouse found a way. He discovers the pirate slavers and their base...and gets far more involved that Danica or anyone else would want him to.

Mouse vs. the Pirate Slavers, is a 120K SCI FI Fantasy manuscript oriented to an adult audience. It tells the story of how a boy and his friends are as crucial to saving the city as Danica and the army she comes to command.

Danica

Danica's inner turmoil about the warrior's path and if it is the right one for her, continues. She reluctantly accepts a commission for command of the SunHawks, the regiment in which she was once a junior officer. Despite her misgivings, she comfortably settles into the role as commander and sets about her mission. The duke promised her aid in the recovery of her daughter and the more she learned, the more she realized it would take an army to do it. Lucky for Danica, the duke promised her one.

Danica finds more in the city; she finds friends, the initial vision of her path after the coming conflict, and in Mags, she finds something entirely unexpected.

Mouse

Gaelin's Port immediately feels home to Mouse. The city is small and there are dangers but it is full of adventure and he makes friends everywhere he goes!

In the singing caves on the far side of the city, Mouse rescues a small creatue with unique abilities and an affinity for music that matches Mouses own. The young beast sparks even more growth in Mouse's talents

Mags

Gaelin's Port is Mags's home and she has quite the reupation as a singer and, as far as the gangs are concerned, a trouble maker. Her stand against the depravities and villany lead to danger and Mouse doing what he does best and what Danica hates, instering himself into the action!

Mags captures Mouse's and Danica's interest. Mouse to her music and what she could teach him and Danica is cannot help but to be fancinated by the tavern singer!
